Laser (Palomar Starlux™)
Photofacial/Photo Rejuvenation
Imagine yourself without those blemishes and sunspots. You can correct many skin imperfections and even your skin tone with a pulse light laser photofacial.
- This is a non-surgical, non-invasive procedure that has minimal adverse effects, no downtime post procedure, and extremely reliable long-term results.
- Most treatments require a series of treatments that will be determined by your results and proper follow-up evaluation.
Laser Hair Removal
If you are tired of shaving, waxing, and tweezing that unwanted hair, laser hair removal may be for you.
- Like the photofacial, this is a non-surgical and non-invasive procedure where pulses of light are flashed – the light attaches to the hair follicle traveling down the hair shaft, and is absorbed by the pigment where it converts into heat. The heat makes the hair fall out and more importantly leaves the hair cell unable to reproduce any new hair.
- All hair removal treatments require several sessions spaced 4 – 6 weeks apart in order to achieve a maximum result. The hair removal is permanent for all active hair cells that are treated in a session. Because we have many hair cells and some that are not active at certain given times, multiple treatments are necessary. The laser will only treat active hair cells. Once it’s gone however, IT’S GONE!
- Laser hair removal does not work on light blonde or white gray hair. There is not enough pigment in it for the light to attach itself. It is important that you do not bleach or do any other kind of hair removal for 6 weeks prior to your treatment. You may shave, but there must be a bit of stubble visible for your treatment to be successful.
- If you are a good candidate for laser hair removal, we will laser any unwanted hair from your face right down to your feet (any area except around the eyes).
While we recommend that all our patients always use sunscreen and sun protective measures all the time, it is especially important that you are not tan for 3-4 weeks prior to treatment, and your skin will be sun-sensitive post treatment as well.
Superficial Spider Vein Treatment (Sclerotherapy) is the gold standard treatment for those little unattractive spider veins that pop up over time. A solution is injected into the veins to remove them from sight. This treatment is not for varicose veins. We do not treat varicose veins in our practice. You must stay out of the sun for 3 weeks post treatment.
We perform classic facials. Treat yourself to a relaxing exfoliating facial. Beautify your skin, rid yourself of the blackheads and clogged pores, and let your skin breathe a healthy sigh! Warm mitts and hand massage are a nice touch as well.
Microdermabrasion (Parisian Peel®) is the choice peel of Hollywood stars - especially the day before the Oscars. It is a procedure that uses a direct stream of micro-crystals combined with a vacuum to rejuvenate the skin.
Parisian Peel exfoliates, refreshes, and renews your skin. It can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, brown spots, acne scars, and other skin imperfections.
Aminolevulinic Acid Photodynamic Therapy "ALA Blue Light Therapy" is used for the treatment of actinic keratoses utilizing the combination of Aminolevulinic acid and Blu-U® light therapy. Prior to sitting in front of the Blu-U® unit, the acid is applied to the area to be treated for a period of approximately 60 minutes (depending on your physician's determination of most appropriate length for optimal result). This is a revolutionary non-surgical way of ridding your skin of actinic keratoses.
Blue light therapy is extremely successful in the treatment of acne as well.
Blue light therapy for the treatment of actinic keratoses is covered by most major insurance carriers.
Blue light therapy for the treatment of acne however, is not yet covered by insurance.
We offer traditional chemical peels, Botox® injections, and the fillers Restylane® and Perlane®.
